Once he established his trading post in the early 1780s, DuSable became the first permanent, non-Indigenous settler in what is now Chicago. The drive that now commemorates him is most completely known as Jean-Baptiste Pointe DuSable Lake Shore Drive.

Now showing its nearly 100-year age, the Aragon was once an extremely popular venue, with crowds of over 18,000 during its six-day business week.
